Alternative Dispute Resolution – Student´s Competition

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) together with the German
Institution of Arbitration (DIS), are organising a competition for students and postgraduates of
the region to write a paper on the “Importance of arbitration for the international trade -
theoretical considerations and practical examples from the region”.
The conditions to be part of this competition are:
1. To be a student or postgraduate in a public or private University of Western Balkan
countries.
2. To write a paper with the theme “Importance of arbitration for the international trade -
theoretical considerations and practical examples from the region”.
3. To send it before 10th of March 2012 via e-mail to adrcompetition@gmail.com
Rules for writing the paper:
1. Times New Roman, size 12, space 1.5 and in English.
2. The paper should not be longer than 10 pages (one page having 330 words)
An independent jury (with members from the German Institution of Arbitration, DIS and
UNCITRAL) will select the best papers. The writer of the best paper will be invited to the
conference organized by the German Institution of Arbitration DIS on 19th -20th of April 2012
"Arbitration in the field of politics, economy and justice in the 21st century”.
Further the best papers will be published.
