Welcome to Co-Chairs' Circle (CCC)

More and more groups of young arbitration practitioners below 40 are founded throughout the world. Most of the groups operate under the auspices of an arbitral institution or an arbitration association. There is some cooperation between the groups in co-organizing seminars. However, the exchange of the co-chairs of the sister organisations is at best ad hoc, yet membership largely overlaps.

There is now a large number of young arbitration practitioners throughout the world that are dedicated to build their international arbitration practice. Given this career choice, the young generation takes an active interest in shaping the future of international arbitration. This relates both to international commercial and investment arbitration. The under-40 networking groups are a great opportunity to meet and exchange ideas, often in discussion with leading senior figures of the scene.

Given the recent and continued proliferation of groups of young arbitration practitioners, the time was ripe to create an informal platform for the co-chairs of the sister organizations to meet and exchange ideas about the topics they consider relevant, to reflect on the current trends and to team up to gain greater weight as the young voice of the international community.

Currently, 18 under-40 arbitration groups participate in the Co-Chairs' Circle initiative.
